An Auckland Love Affair

J.Crew blazer / Sportsgirl tee / Madewell jeans / Watson x Watson heels (similar) / Quay sunglasses
Aussies recently celebrated Australia Day which of course meant a well-deserved long weekend to spend with friends and family. In a sneaky and most un-Australian move (shhh!) my family and I stole the opportunity to enjoy an overseas escape... to New Zealand. Albeit just across the ocean and very much like our own shores, it still served its desired purpose and felt like a fun mini-holiday. Holding the same colonial heritage as Australia, NZ has managed to savour much of its British-inspired architecture making it quite the surprisingly stunning city. The moment I arrived at Queens St Wharf I fell in love with this darling red fence which inspired this Kate Middleton-esque outfit in my first pair of baggy jeans from Madewell - J.Crew's sister brand. It rings true that only J.Crew could finally convert me to this fabulous fashion trend. Secretly Auckland stole my heart in a swift attack that left me speechless, most definitely a city that's cunningly creeped its way onto my travel favourites list.

  1. it indeed is a brilliant background and you're wearing blue and white so by adding some red your outfit totally is British ;) btw, I just love those navy heels and the blazer. awesome combo!

  5. I have never actually been to Auckland but my husband said it is a beautiful quiet town. Great to retire in apparently. Love this white/navy ensemble, classic!
