Gatsby's Grotto: Badgley Mischka's NYFW Spring 2013 Runway

Great Gastby's ghost! Badgley Mischka's New York Fashion Week runway transported us to luxe 1920s New York, back to the height of the golden years. What I imagine to be The Great Gastby meets The Hamptons before diving off the yachts for a dip under the sea to Ariel's couture mermaid grotto, a magnificently designed story. A truly inspired collection that begins with sophisticated, classic and retro silhouettes decked out in tweed and darling hats before emerging from the water in ethereal designs dripping in sparkling embellishments and exquisite fringe detailing resembling complex couture coral. It was collection that had me falling in love with these two brilliant designers all over again and wishing the show would never end!
