Frank Sorbier's Grand Paris Haute Couture Runway

Like something out of Phantom of the Opera, Frank Sorbier's romantic runway stunned from the minute you walked through the door.
Set in a newly restored 1865 misty ballroom lit purely by candles and low-hung chandeliers, ornate mirrors, vintage carpets and a grand piano perfectly paralleled the collection. The gothic-esque collection was full of opulent textures and luxurious vintage materials inspired by 18th century free-spirited Parisienne artists who lived under a shifting monarch rule. Sorbier's bohemian take on of the Belle Epoche period in French history stunned with a rich colour palette from the majestic Basque country. His undeniable technique was masterfully executed this Winter 2015 collection, fittingly titled "Poemes" where elements collide yet are one and each dress is eternal.
