I recently was lucky enough to experience the grandeur and splendour that is the Langham Hotel in Melbourne. Happily situated along the river in Southbank just behind Melbourne's Flinders Station, it provides the most spectacular view of the city with all the convenience of being just a short walk from many iconic CBD locations. Dripping in luxe heritage and majestic decor, The Langham's attentive staff and warm atmosphere immediately welcome you inside. High ceilings, a fairy-lit grand staircase and possibly some of the prettiest Christmas decorations in Melbourne extend across the lobby as a glittering feast to the eyes.

If you're looking for some extra Langham luxury, their club room provides that. Access to the prestigious Langham Club on the 24th floor means an elite check-in experience where I was personally escorted to my room. An extensive buffet breakfast, their signature and well-known high tea plus nightly drinks and canapes are also graciously offered to club guests. It's a haven for foodies alongside a personal reception where staff are eager to help out any way they can. Hotel life doesn't get much better than this.

After a long day of work and meetings it was comforting to come back to fluffy robes, cosy slippers, a turned-down bed, stunning view and warm bubble bath to truly leave the world behind. A hidden gem in the middle of the city, the Langham Melbourne's pool and spa is in one word magnificent. The beautiful indoor pool and jacuzzi extends outdoors featuring a deck that seems to stretch endlessly over the city. It took my breath away. So whether you're visiting Melbourne or just looking for a weekend getaway, the treasure that is The Langham Melbourne is the answer to all your prayers. It's perfectly accented with superior service and only the best facilities - what more could you want?!
